Rostrevor Holidays are 10 traditional self-
catering cottages located on a peaceful farm in
the Mourne Mountains of Northern Ireland.
With 24-acres of peaceful land surrounding
them, Rostrevor Holidays is a perfect place to
escape with your pets for a well earned break.
From our 1 bedroom cottage, Leckan Beg, up to
our larger Ceili House, there is something that
will suit every size of family or group.
The surrounding area of the Mourne Mountains is
great for all sporting activities, including
walking, and mountain biking. Three forest
parks are within 20 minutes drive, and the sea
is only 2 miles away.
A 1.5km pathway around the farm and along the
river gives you space to bring your pets for a
walk first thing in the morning.

There is a £25 surcharge per dog per week, with
a max of
2 dogs per cottage.
Dog Rules
Lecale Cottages are set on 24 acres of farmland
and are separated from the road by several
fields. However we strongly recommend that you
keep your dog on the lead while you get to know
the area, and the site.
As previously mentioned, the majority of our
guests are not dog owners. Out of consideration
to these other guests, you must keep your dog
under control around other properties. This may
mean that you need to keep them on a lead at
the start of your walk.
We must be informed if you are taking a dog
with you, or an extra dog to the one mentioned
at time of booking. If you arrive with a dog
extra to your booking information, a charge of
£30 will be placed.
Dogs are not to have free run of the property.
We wish to maintain the high standard of our
accommodation, and so request that dogs are not
allowed in the bedrooms, on the furniture, and
especially not in the beds.
Please pick up after your dog, and dispose of
in an outside bin. We provide poo-bags in the
cottages, so please make use of them. We have
many families with young children who stay with
us at the cottages, and so it is even more
important to clean up after your dog.
If you are bringing a puppy, please bring along
a crate or a cage with you. It is not
acceptable that they cope with their teething
by chewing on our furniture or soft
furnishings! Any damage caused or replacements
needed, will be at your expense. If you need a
cage, please ask.
Although in the mountains and forests there are
plenty of streams, it is advisable to bring
along some fresh water with you on your days
out. Especially to the beaches as they may not
have a facility of fresh water supply.
Keep your dog under close control at all times
for their own safety as well as the comfort of
others. We often have ponies and horses in the
fields surrounding the cottages, do not let
your dog run lose in the fields with them as
they may get kicked, and unfortunately it will
be your dog that will suffer more.
Please thoroughly clean the cottage, including
dog hair from rugs, before you leave; if
properties require excessive cleaning we will
impose an additional £50 fee to cover the cost
of additional cleaning time
Please do not allow dogs on furniture, we
provide dog blankets for their comfort.
We regret that an additional flat charge of £50
will have to be made if carpets, rugs or bed-
spreads require additional cleaning.

Rostrevor Holidays has 10 cottages on site,which comprises of the following:
2 5-star houses - each with 3 large ensuite
rooms.
5 3 bedroom cottages - sleep 6, rated 3-stars.
1 2 bedroom cottage - sleeps 4/5, rated 3-
stars.
2 1 bedroom cottages - sleeps 2/4. One has a
large family bedroom.
Our pretty one-bedroom cottage, Leckan Beg, is
our most popular accommodation. Perfect for
couples wanting to escape for either a weekend,
or a longer 2 week-stay, it is a great base for
exploring the Mourne Mountains. Looking out the
main window of Leckan Beg, you will have a view
down the valley to Carlingford Lough.
Our clean and cosy three bedroom cottages,
sleep up to 6 people. A combined kitchen/living
area, with an open log-fire, is perfect for
family get-togethers, or somewhere to relax
with your friends after a long day walking or
mountain-biking in the Mourne Mountains.
Each cottage has one double bedroom, and two
twin rooms. There is a separate bathroom, WC,
and shower room, so no need to worry about
queues! The cottages have all mod-cons,
including washer/dryer, microwave, and a
dishwasher.
The Ceili House has a large (20ft x 30ft)
living/dining room with a Liscannor stone
floor, and as the name suggests, is suitable
for entertaining larger groups. A separate
fully equipped kitchen is useful for those
renting several cottages, but wishing to eat
together.
Roosley is a bright cottage with 2 bedrooms can
sleep 4/5 people. The upstairs bedroom has a
double and a single bed, whilst the downstairs
bedroom has the option of being a twin or a
single room. There is a downstairs WC, and a
shower room upstairs. The combined
kitchen/dining/living area has sliding doors
that open on to the patio if you wish to take
your breakfast outside.
Our large 5-star houses have modern luxury,
from deep comfortable sofas and chairs, to
extra spacious bedrooms all of which are en-
suite. With such room, they are ideal for
families and groups.

Directions fron Newry
Newry Warrenpoint. Follow the A2 road.
At Greenbank Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto
Warrenpoint Road (dual-carriageway).
At Burren Roundabout take the 2nd exit onto
Newry Road. Entering Warrenpoint, take 2nd exit
on the mini-roundabout onto Church Street.
Continue along Church Street. At T-Junction
when you can see the Sea, take a left turn onto
the A2 Rostrevor Road.
Arrive in Rostrevor village. Keep driving up
the hill through the village passing a church
on your left and another on your right.
Keep straight on and you are on the Kilbroney
Road.
At the national speed limit signs drive for 2
miles on the Kilbroney Road (this road
eventually goes to Hilltown.)
After you pass a Monastery on your right hand
side, there is a stand of trees. Just after the
trees there is a sign with a cow on it, and
just after this is the entrance to Lecale
Cottages (on your right hand side).
There are two white circular pillars with red
tops, and a red sign for rostrevorholidays,
followed by a confirming sign for Lecale
Cottages. Go down the drive.
